In my former life, I worked in television production and news until I decided to give up long crazy hours to stay home with the kids. As my kids got older I realized there were plenty of families like ours juggling time and resources to take care of family pets and the various chores that go with that.

Whether it's a dog walk while you are recuperating from knee surgery or working 12 hour days; shuttling the dogs to or from the groomer or boarding; would rather spend time enjoying your family instead of scooping the yard, Brookside Concierge can help. We do the same stuff you would do if you had the luxury of time. We do it professionally, affordably, and dependably.

I've been dog crazy for my entire life. At age 13, I had a blast as a Junior Handler showing my Westie MacGregor. I've taken dogs through basic obedience and some agility work. We currently share our home with a rescued English Pointer named Maggie and our adopted Weimaraner Bentley. They both answer, however, to our Torti cat Jambi, queen of all things Miller!

As you can guess, I am a strong supporter of rescuing animals. We are fortunate in the Midwest to have so many active, responsible, and knowledgeable shelters and breed rescue groups. If you are not planning on showing your dogs, I encourage you to talk one of these organizations before getting an animal. Whether or not you want to adopt one of their dogs or cats, they can help you decide which pet would be a good fit for your home.
